Metastock Professional 11 under the Explorer tab gives a lot of choices for pointing out point and figure signals.I would like to know about two issues:-
1)If point and figure bullish and bearish signals work on small time frames like 5 minutes.I had once written to Tom Dorsey once about this and he had advised me against it telling me to stick to daily charts-- but that was for the commodities market.Metastock has however implemented point and figure explorations on intraday data in it's software.
I would like the Forum's opinion on this.
2)Tom Dorsey in his website introduces for stocks a new feature called "relative strength" which he calculates for stocks and displays updated on his website. For example a double or triple top in point and figure is not valid until it is ratified by the "relative strength" readings.
I would like to ask members of the forum if this feature is all that important and if one can take
bullish and bearish buys without them. For example there is no "relative strenghth" calculated by Mr.Dorsey for the futures and commodity's market.
Here's hoping for a reply from members of the forum.
