I'd like to create a formula that would give a numerical grade (like from 1 to 6) to a Point and Figure chart depending on what it showed. The grade depends on the current position of the chart: for example, if it is in a column of Xs and this column is a Buy signal, that would be the highest grade, say a 6. If it were in a col of Os while still on a Buy, it would be a 5. If it were a Col of Xs while on a Buy, but not on the actual Buy column itself, it would be a 4. Is there any way to do this? I want the formula to take into account the box size and reversal settings and not use some canned default because I want it to give the grade based on the settings on the screen. Basically what I need is to know if it is in Xs or Os and if the current column is the buy or sell signal column. Thanks. I'm using EOD.
