The forum.dll contains functions which are called using ExtFml() so nothing will change in your indicator list.
To see what functions are contained in the library of functions: create a new indicator and then press the "Functions" button which will open a dialog box showing all the built-in MS functions and all of the libraries accessible by MS, clicking on a library will show its contents.

The problem is there is no forum to click on on the function list to access the function in the forum dll
There should be a forum on the list
Using the ExtFml in the indicator gives an error dll not found but the dll is in the installed dll folder in the metastock directory

You mentioned renaming the DLL? That could be problematic in trying to use EXTFML to call that DLL. Knowing the version of MetaStock and Windows may also help. Also, you mentioned the dll is in the installed dll folder, you mean the External Function DLL folder within Program Files\Equis\MetaStock? Can you post an example of the EXTFML function that is appearing when you paste the function into the formula editor window?
