Yes, I logged into the forum to post this same issue. An EXPLORE agains the U.S. Optionable Stocks data used to take about 10 minutes - 15 max. Now takes a minimum of 35 minutes and often as long as 50 minutes. No changes to hardware, environment, or connectivity. Internet connect same and speeds the same. Any reolutions to this???

Hello, Sorry for the issue you are having with slow data requests. We are working with our data vendor to implement a solution for this. We hope to have a bit more information by early next week for a potential short-term aid to this issue, while a longer-term solution is determined. I will add an additional reply here once I have more information. We do realize that this slowdown is a major workflow concern and is our top priority to get resolved.

Hello,
I wanted to provide a quick update here. We were able to identify the cause of the slowness and provide this information to our data vendor. They will be implementing multiple changes on their end to address this long-term, but changes were also made to increase data volume limits (how much data you can request per minute) to alleviate these speed issues.
This change is effective immediately. Because the issue was addressed on the server/account side of things, no update of MetaStock is needed to address this issue.

For at least a couple of days, MS 19 refuses to even load, throwing me several XENITH errors and "no permission" responses on that utterly-irrelevant "Oil Futures" black screen. Last time I ran the Downloader to do my weekly update of data, it took 55 minutes instead of the usual 10-15; now it won't run at all because MS refuses to load.
I was perfectly happy with MS 16 until forced to do the "upgrade" which not only effed-up my data and program loading, the first thing it did was destroy all my carefully-designed layouts and template settings accumulated over years of effort. Since November, I've coughed up a little over $500 for annual data fee and the "upgrade" - I haven't had a functional MetaStock, useful for trading, since mid-January, over 6 months ago.
This is NOT what I was sold and paid for. Now, about reparations.........
As an aside, it seems very difficult to find an independent user discussion forum for MS on Reddit, Discord, FB or other host that's not controlled by the company.

Hi PTJim, Sorry to hear of the difficulties you've experienced with MetaStock. It might be best to contact our technical support directly to see what can be done to resolve this. Their contact information is at https://www.metastock.com/company/contact.aspx XENITH for Daily Charts customers is essentially just to establish a data feed connection, so you are correct that the XENITH layout offers basically no functionality. Our data vendor is working to create a more appropriate layout window for our customers going forward given this lack of functionality. As for MetaStock failing to load, we will probably need to gather a bit more information, i.e. any specific error messages that MetaStock is showing, or possibly looking at the Windows Event Viewer or a MetaStock debug log as needed. Downloader collection speeds should be faster (as of Thursday evening) although you must also log completely out of XENITH in order to see this (as of today this should have been done for everyone). We might need to gather some additional information re:the specifics of your download (i.e. how many total instruments, when you last tried to download, etc) to see what can be done to improve the collection times. For reference, I downloaded a little over 11,100 (NASDAQ/NYSE/AMEX) instruments in about 9 minutes 30 seconds.
