Is the latest version of MetaStock designed to use several threads to take advantage of multi core CPUs? Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Metastock will run on multi core cpu's, but it is using only 1 core. It is not designed to take full advantage of modern cpu's.

If my CPU (i-7) contains 8-core cpu, can I run 7 Metastock applications at the same time for 7 different cores? and left 1 core for general system application, such as accessing internet. Does any restriction on the number of Metastock running on the same system? such as Windows 7 Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Metastock will only run 1 application on a computer at a time.

that means it will only use 1 core of your cpu and the rest are available for other programs

As Henry said, per computer, only one instance of MS can be run at a time. If you had 7 computers you could run 7 instances of MS; it doesn't matter if those machines are physical or virtual.

You will maybe have also a license problem running 7 metastock processes at the same time.. I think metastock license is limited to 2 "computers"...

Caution: MetaStock will *not* run in a virtual machine! But why would you want to run 7 different instances of it anyhow?
