hi elektra, check your x axis properties, if "Retain Scale" is checked and u previously did some simulation test and put it on chart then the x-axis scale on the smart charts will be locked on the last date of simulation. Unckeck the "retain scale" on smart charts and reopen the chart. ...that hapened to me and my first taught was that it`s some problem with the conversion ....so maby that`s ur problem too.
Also you could, in the downloader, click on file, open, and open one of th converted files and check the first and last date to see if the data is there by any chance ... Patric

You must have locked temp files ... Close MetaStock and the downloader then click on start, search and type : ~msfl.* Delete all the files you will find. Run your conversion again just in case ... Then try to open one of the files in the downloader and check the last date on it. Patrick

Can you recall if you ever downloaded version 7.2 at some point to fix problems ... I remember Equis gave 7.2 for free because of some problems with the old downloader ... This version is so old that I really can't remember anything specific sorry

One more thing comes to mind ... I guess you are using XP right? If yes try changing the compatibilty mode. Right click on the downloader shortcut and select properties, click on the compatibilty tab and change it to run under windows 2000 compatibility mode and check the option called "disable visual themes" see if that helps at all. Elektra, have you tried to call support? They will have the resources to help your figure this out for your version of MS/Downloader. It sounds weird that it all used to work but now it doesn't. The same method you used to use should still work, so maybe you have corrupt files due to your crash. I'm sure they can help you sort it out.
