Hi, I'm new to trading and Metastock so I hope I'm not asking a silly question.... If a company has not traded by EOD, Metastock reports price as zero which doesn't make sense to me, wouldn't last close be better? Am I missing the reason why this occurs and is there a way to change the way Metastock reports them? Thanks Clacks

Clacks, As far as I am aware, if the stock didn't trade, i.e the daily VOLUME is zero, the stock will not plot a bar on the chart. There are two settings under Tools>Options>Chart Options where you can select to show weekends and holidays: both of these should be unchecked to hide data gaps. Have a good read through the MS Users Manual. If you have any more questions, then feel free to ask. Maybe there is an issue with your data provider? wabbit :D P.S. I too am in Perth, so if you want to chat, PM me and I can give you a call.

Yes, this is definitely a data-provider issue. Zero-padded data generally creates problems in charts. jose '-)
