Updated DateRange code with Wabbit's code
Updated CustomIndex Function to allow a user to select a price array ( open high low close volume ) and to select a calculation method ( Summation or Index )
Created a self install file.

Patrick,
first time I try to install the forumdll, but it does not show.
I install at
C:\\Program Files\\Equis\\MetaStock\\External Function DLLs
and my version is MS 9.0.
The ASI dll installed fine.
Any suggestion?

Which version of metastock do you have and which dll did you download, did you use the self install from the Downloads page?

Patrik,
I used both the self install and the dll file from the forum. The self install did not work (no dll file in the folder). Now there is a dll in t
eeh folder as I copied the dll from teh forum, but it still does not show in the funcyion builder.
The ASI dll installed without any problem with teh self install.
I have metastock 9.0
Thnks

Still no luck. I copied the file, but it still does not show up in the function list.
Any other suggestion?

I'm having the same problem. The self install didn't work so I dragged the dll into the External Function folder and it still doesn't show in the function builder. I have MS 9.0.
Any suggestions

I have MS 9.0.
Other files in the Ext Func folder are all dll's.
They are: DynamicTradingTools, PointFig, ppEval, Simulation (9.0), JWWILDER, and Forum 1.1.1

Patrik,
I think the problem is not in the DLL´s at all.
Remember I said that version 8 works fine with 8 and 9.
On one of my test systems I ran Forumdll 8 on both Metastock 8 & 9 no problem at all.
But could not run Forumdll 9 on neither.
I have got some more feed back from some friends:
One of them cannot run neither 8 nor 9 on his system. Like neal.
Others can run only 8, some others can run both.
I think what to blame is actually Windows.
Why do not you try a Poll to know:
Windows Version
Metastock Version
Dll version
Maybe we can figure it out :( !

Good point; I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it is a Windows problem.
I have Windows XP Home Edition 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600.
I also have Office 2003

On the system test:
It was running Win Xp Pro 5.1 Build 2600 SP2
Ran Forumdll 8 on both Metastock 8 & 9 just fine.
Could not run Forumdll 9 on neither including the new Beta :ranting:
Bulli :)

My impression is that the MS8.0 version works just fine.
1. download
2. rename: ForumDll.dll
3. copy to subdir .....MetaStock\\External Function DLLs\
But just like the others, I don't see "ForumDll" in the functions list.
But when you use it, for example:
B:= ExtFml("ForumDll.latch",LE,LX,SE,SX);
it works just fine.
