I've never been prompted to run the MMU after an update is installed.  It appears to have been run automatically during the installation.  Why is that when the instructions always say to look for a prompt.

Hello and thank you for your message. Generally speaking the MetaStock Migration Utility (MMU) should run after a major version change. For example, if you change from version 16 to 17, 17 to 19, etc. then when you run MetaStock the first time after the upgrade you should see a pop-up box asking whether you would like to run the MMU or not.

Minor version updates ideally should not trigger the MMU prompt. For example, if you are updating from a previous version of 19 to a newer version of 19, your original formula files should remain intact in your user folder (typically something like C:\Users\(WindowsUser)\AppData\Local\Innovative Market Analysis\MetaStock\19.0\Formulas and thus there is nothing to migrate.
