How do I create a multi-chart template in MetaStock?
In version 18 you must first save a layout before saving the multi-chart template, which is a slight change from previous versions.
MetaStock v18 --> Current - Open MetaStock.
- From the Power Console, select the Charts button.
- Open all of the charts to be included in the layout.
- Typing in instruments using the Instrument(s) field at the top (Multiple instruments can be separated by commas).
- Select instruments using Custom Online Data Lists or Public Online Data Lists.
- Select local data instruments using Local Data Lists.
- Customize charts so they are displayed in the desired manner.
- From the File menu select New --> Layout.
- From the Layout dialog select Add or Add All.
- Then select Ok.
- In the Save As dialog, Enter a File name.
- Select Save.
- From the File menu select Save as.
- Change the Save as type to Template (*.mwt)
- Enter a File name.
- Select Save.
