MetaStock version 18 introduced the ability to add and save custom percentage values to Fibonacci Retracement and Projection line studies. The way we draw line studies now has changed, as well. You now simply click at the start and end points (or 3 clicks for the Projection). You no longer need to hold down the mouse button while drawing. To add the custom percentage value, follow the steps below:

MetaStock v18 --> Current

1. Open MetaStock. 
2. From the Power Console, select the Charts button.
3. Open the desired chart.
   • Type in the instrument using the Instrument(s) field at the top.
   • Select instrument using Custom Online Data Lists or Public Online Data Lists.
   • Select local data instrument using Local Data Lists.
4. From the Line Studies Toolbar on the left side of MetaStock, select the Fibonacci Retracement.
5. Click at the desired start point, move the mouse to the desired end point and click again.
6. Double click, or right-click and select Properties, on the Fibonacci line study
7. Select the Line Settings tab
8. Enter the desired Percentage value
9. Click Add
10. To save these values, click the Defaults button
11. Select Save current page as default
12. Click OK

1. Open MetaStock. 
2. From the Power Console, select the Charts button.
3. Open the desired chart.
   • Type in the instrument using the Instrument(s) field at the top.
   • Select instrument using Custom Online Data Lists or Public Online Data Lists.
   • Select local data instrument using Local Data Lists.
4. Open the Insert menu
5. Select the Fibonacci Retracement
6. Click at the desired start point, move the mouse to the desired end point and click again.
7. Double click, or right-click and select Properties, on the Fibonacci line study
8. Select the Line Settings tab
9. Enter the desired Percentage value
10. Click Add
11. To save these values, click the Defaults button
12. Select Save current page as default
13. Click OK
