How much data is needed for FIRE 2.0?
FIRE 2.0 uses security price data stored in our MSLocal or Legacy file formats. The amount of data history needed is largely up to the user's preferences.
The default time periods for the FIRE 2.0 tools are as follows:
Breadth Indicators - 500 Time Periods Custom Indices - 1000 Time Periods External Relative Strength - 1000 Time Periods & 250 Time Periods in RS Calculation
Breadth Indicators can be customized by the user and the time periods may need to be increased depending on how large a lookback period you set in the calculation info. Custom Indices with 1000 time periods will provide a user with approximately 4 years of daily historical data. External Relative Strength with 1000 Time Periods & 250 Time Periods in RS Calculation will provide a user with approximately 750 (1000-250) historical data points.
