Hi, 

       i know this is a already well explained subject over years but

i need to convert in metastock the excell file at the following link:

(upload new files does not work and i cannot attach any file)

it has some problems:

1 date is in a version that i cannot change 

2   date start from the last to the oldest  and it needs to be inverted

3  then it need to be saved in a ascii txt file suitable to be red in downloader

i ve tried so many times by myself without succes

please could anyone help me ?

and could show me the way to save as txt suitable for downloader?

Hello,

The main issue is with the Date Column. Changing the Ascending/Descending aspect is pretty easy, but that date format is probably not going to be very usable for most. Excel doesn't seem to be able to format that date differently, so unless you can find a converter to change that date to something else (like YYYY-MM-DD) you would probably have to manually change the dates to make it readable.

Here is a modified version of the CSV file that should work - https://gofile.io/?c=OFT45B

Keep in mind this basically took Finding and Replacing the years (Finding 2020, replacing with 2020- and so on) as well as finding and replacing the month (Finding Jan, replacing with 01-31 and so on). Probably could do with even less replacing by just doing Find Jan and replace with -01-31 and so on.

Afterward opening in Excel and sorting the date column.
