It's been a very long time since I run System Tester regularly, so I'm a bit rusty...
Have a folder cointaining equities daily data only.
I just wonder if I can run test on a monthly basis.
I checked the user manual, but without any success.
Own MS11.
Any hint?
Thanks!

Hi, Once you are in the "Add Securities" dialogue (when setting up a New Simulation) and you select the securities within your data folder, there should be a "Periodicity" combo box in the lower left corner that is set to Current. You should be able to adjust this to other time intervals.

Thanks a lot.
May I ask for an additional support?
With reference to the exit rule, instead of an indicator based rule, may I ask Metastock to close the trade after "n" bars?
E.g.: buy when RSI(14) rises above 70 and selling three bars later.
Would it be possible?
Thanks again.

Hello again, There are a couple methods you could try out for this. Within the Sell Order tab when Editing a system, you could set an always true condition (1) and set a Strategic Delay for the Day of 3. Another possibility would be to use the Inactivity Minimum Change in the Stops tab and set an unrealistically high value that could not be reached and then set the desired Periods.
