Do I remember it correctly that data was about $200/year just a few weeks ago (or was it $240?)? Now it's $299 according to the website.

That's really interesting, as I've read a lot about forex trading at https://www.bestforexbrokersuk.com/ and I've decided to start my education. I've already chosen a broker and I also found the Metastock software and was really close to buy it, but now with that price change I will think about it. If there is no reason for it, no additional features or whatever, then it's really not good.

299 is huge increase just for EOD data .Really upsetting. why they cannot incorporate free yahoo or google data if they want to help customers like other software do

Yahoo and Google have both shut down their A.P.I.s (believe it or not, this forum censors the acronym unless I add the periods) that allowed daily download of stock prices, as of last year. MetaStock saw a good opportunity to put the squeeze to customers seeking a replacement for this data.
The price seems very high for simple EOD, not realtime, data to me.
