Hello
Can someone share the exploration/scan for turnover of a stock or alternatively let me know where I can find this in this forum.
Turnover = close price * volume (number of shares).
The formula is quite straight forward (C*V).
The issue I am facing is the Volume that is downloaded and shown in my charts also shows x10 or x100 on the side.
So if the actual volume is 10000000, it shows as 100000 x100.
Therefore when I use the above formula to filter stocks, example Simple 50 MA turnover > 5000000 then Metastock does not take the x10 or x100 into calculation and therefore a lot of big turnover stocks do not get scanned or show up in the results.
Any assistance is resolving this scan will help.

One thing to keep in mind, the x1000 in the volume Y-Axis is for the Y-Axis scale values, not the volume values. That being said, the old DownLoader did truncate two 0's off the end of the data. So effectively for volume-based formulas, when using Local Data collected through the old DownLoader, your formula would want to include a * 100 in it, i.e. (V * C) * 100
Online requests and downloads using the new DownLoader that comes with MetaStock 15 will report the true volume so you would not want to use such a formula on these types of data requests.
