Hi!
First let me say that, Im new to xenith, total newbie!
My problem is the following:
Im playing with the excel reuters app, and i wanna retrieve the PMI of USA(and other countries too) i want the historic data, from the last 2 years.
What i have accomplish is to get only the actual data, but not the historical data
how can i do it? I have search in the video tutorials on reuters, and they only shows examples of fundamentals and prices from equities!
if anyone knows or can guide me on the process, i will appreciate it!

For data like this which comes from Economic Indicators, you would need to use the appropriate RIC (Reuters Instrument Code) to pull in this data. The RIC for the US would be:
USPMI=ECI
Once you put this into the Instruments field of the Excel Formula Builder (or reference a cell with this RIC) you can change the Data Items to the "Time Series" option (looks like a checkmark to the right of the words "DATA ITEMS"
Once you change to Time Series, the data item categories should change and show Common (5) and Economic indicator (2). In the Economic Indicator category, there will be a data item simply referred to as "Value". After you select this data item, you can adjust the Parameters tab on the right to your desired settings. The data by default is reported Monthly, so with a Number of Rows value set to 25, this would get you 25 months of data, roughly 2 years. You can then choose "Insert" to bring this data in to Excel.
