Hello everyone,

I have an issue with the "Open" button to open charts.

It opens the "Sample" folder and then, manually, I have to select my data provider.

Is it possible to to set the "Open" button so that it goes on the folders of my data provider at once?

Thank you!

Fiorenzo

P.S. I have Metastock 11 EOD

Typically, MetaStock 11 should remember the last location you opened a security in. Are you saying that if you actually go into MetaStock's File-->Open dialogue and browse to your data folder and open an item here, the next time you go to File-->Open it is pointing to the Sample folder again? We have seen rare cases of this, although this largely seems to be some sort of problem with Windows vs. MetaStock specifically. It is also possible that when we go to update the Windows Registry with this information that some other application is blocking / preventing this. Which version of Windows are you running on this PC? If you right-click and choose "Run As Administrator" on the MetaStock shortcut, does this make any difference?

Maybe it took Metastock 11 a week or so to remember the location I open Securities in the last time I accessed, but now it does :) Thank you for your prompt support! Cheers, Fiorenzo
