Hi Everyone!

I've got an issue with my System tester.

I test regularly more than a hundreed securities. I have made 10 custom systems for all of them. But it´s a little complicated to execute each one of those systems, every time i want to analize them.

¿is there a variable assigned to the "security" name, in order to simplify all of the systems just in a unique one?

In that case I Could use:

If Security_Variable is '[censored]' do  System1_buy_function

else

If Security_Variable is 'yyy' do  System2_buy_function

else

.

.

.

.

Thanks in advance

Leo

Hi Leo, Are you looking more for a portfolio style system test or just something that allows you to save a separate list of securities for each system test? Neither is possible at this time, but I want to make sure I pass along your suggestion correctly.

Hi. First of all, thanks for your promptly reply.
I don´t want a portfolio system test neither something that allows me to save a separate list of securities for each system test.

I will try to explain it more clearly:
Currently I´m following the evolution of about 100 securities, in order to enter/don´t care / be aware of / sell  /etc.
I´ve created 10 custom systems for those 100 securities.
e.g.  I run : Custom_System_1 for securities 1-12;
                  Custom_System_2 for securities 13-32;
         etc.

Obviously, this system will let me know if I should -enter/don´t care/be aware of/sell- with each one of the securities that the system was created for.

I think that the system works like this: I choose the system and the securities to check, and it runs for each one of the securities chosen.

But this process takes me a lot of time, and I think it would be faster if I could create just only one custom system which contains all of my current systems in it, but can decide which one of those 10 current-systems will run just by comparing the "security variable name".

I´m sorry about my english. I hope I was clear.

Thanks in advance again!
Leo

Hi, Thank you for clarifying. That structure does not exist within the System Tester unfortunately. I will write this up as feedback however. Is there a reason you are using the system tester to look for current buy/sell/ignore opportunities? I would think the Explorer would be a better fit for this purpose. With the Explorer, you can screen for current buy/sell signals and you can also have a separate list of securities for each scan. You can highlight multiple explorations and have it scan a separate list of securities for each. While this isn't exactly what you're looking for I think it would possibly save you some time when looking for opportunities.
thanks 1 user thanked MS Support for this useful post.
