Hi all, Need some help/advice here. I'm trying to build an explorer formula but I'm not sure if this has been discussed/resolved before so thought if you guys can help me/point me to the right direction. Basically, I would want an explorer that can scan peaks/troughs (based on both price and volume) e.g. the highest cumulative up/down volume based on peak/trough or 'up'/'down' zig zag price since last x period. I have the indicator formula which uses forum.dll (refer here for a general idea http://forum.metastock.c...r-zigzag-wave#post153590 Just want to know if this is doable/ any other formulas that I can refer to to create this explorer .... Thanks! db

What you are asking for would require knowing which volume is "up" and which volume is "down" on an individual stock. The only way to derive this information would be from a tick chart (since you could then measure up ticks and down ticks and cumulatively measure the volume for each tick direction. The Explorer does not support Tick interval so this would not be possible in the Explorer.
