Using Metastock 13 EOD, I want a formula that searches for stocks, PRICED between $10 to $20,
AND that have an average 90-day VOLUME of 20 million. I am unclear if the Volume in the formula
needs to be show as "20,000,000" or "200,000", as in prior versions of Metastock (9.x) I was told that "Local data drops two digits on the volume. Add two zeros to 50 for 5000 if using data on demand."
With Metastock 13, I am simply not sure which is correct.
Here's my formula:
LLV(L, 66) > 10 AND LLV(L, 66) < 20 AND Mov(V, 66, S) > 200000

Hi,
The DownLoader truncated 2 digits from the end of the volume during the download process. MetaStock 12 and later use Data On Demand so the true volume number should be reflected in your formula.
Unless you download data using The DownLoader, the dropping of 2 digits in your volume formulas is not required.
Tehcnically, one could collect data in the DownLoader and convert / import that data into MetaStock 13 but this would be the exception not the rule. Edited by user Tuesday, January 27, 2015 11:48:49 PM(UTC)

This is what I needed to know. I do not use the Downloader, so I will be sure to enter the FULL Volume amount (in Metastock 13).
Thank you
