For months I have had no issue charting symbols like .SPX and .NDX then this weekend I start getting errors that the symbol is invalid?

When you have the subscription version of MetaStock ($59/month) you are effectively getting:
-MetaStock
-Region of Stocks
-Worldwide Indices
-Worldwide Futures
When you purchase MetaStock (i.e. you are not leasing as above), you can tailor your data packages like so:
-Regional Stocks ($24.95/month)
-Worldwide Futures ($24.95/month)
-Worldwide Indices ($9.95/month)
