Hello, I'm a newbie both to the forum and Metastock having used Omega Supercharts for the last 15 years. I am used to programming in easylanguage but still finding Metastock a challenge.
I would like to create a simply alert that tells me when the Renko chart changes direction ie from down to up and vice versa. I have searched the site to no avail. Has anybody written this already? Any assistance would be gratefully received

Hi,
This is something that currently cannot be done within MetaStock. Because Renko is reversal-based and not time-based, it does not really work directly with the MetaStock formula language. It might be possible down the road via a DLL-based method (similar to how our Point & Figure functions work).
