I am a newcomer to the world of forex trading.Every so often you come across
names like AUDCAD43200 and USDCHF 1440----I understand that they are currency pairs----but what does the number at the end mean?

Haven't really seen this myself but my guess would be 1440 minutes per day. 43200 / 1440 = 30 days.
