Measures volatility.

Code:

{Requires Debry dll}prd:=Input("Periods",1,1000,55); ExtFml( "DeBry.OverheadResistance",prd );

DeBry... now, there's a blast from the past.

Isn't DeBry the brilliant guy that made the popular SpyGlass addon, which was later bought by MetaStock product manager John Slauson and renamed "Fire", and which was killed when Mr Slauson himself crippled offline data use in MS v12/13?

Related: Is Ice still Relevant?

Some confusion, from the man himself:

"John Slauson began his career with MetaStock in 1988. In 2000, he left and started Adaptick, a company that provided training and developed popular MetaStock add-ons ICE, FIRE..."

Thanks: 2 times

It irritates me that I can't use FIRE with MS v13 as I am not crazy with the Sector Stats in v13. Anything that is dependent on frequently Equis updates isn't a good thing in my point of view.

So anytime I am doing stats on sectors I have to run MS v11 and FIRE... I even tried to create an indicator in v13 that called the Breadth indicator but MSX DLL didn't recognized the function.

I agree that is why I only use MS v11 pro or previous versions.
Interestingly my returns have been higher with EOD data than live or intraday data when
round turn costs etc are calculated in.
