Dear Friends...

I want to convert this AFL trading system in to Metastock Formula Language.... kindly please help me to convert it from AFL to Metastock coding...

Thank You in Advance...

/* Just to clarify, the red and green arrows identify the pivots identified by the code.
They can be used to do things such as measuring fib time and price retracements
-- basically, recognizing a pattern in the immediate present based on the locations of swing points in the past.
These arrays are especially useful:

// -- the price values of the high pivots,
// where aHPivHighs[0] is the most recent
aHPivHighs
// -- Ditto, but for lows
aLPivLows
// -- the bar indexes of the high and low pivots,
// for identifying symmetry in retacements
aHPivIdxs

Dear friend,

This kind of irrelevant garbage will never do anything for your trading account (you do have one, right?), except maybe wipe it out.

Absolutely clueless...

Thanks: 1 times

longest code ever seen for a TA software, anyway I ' ve serious doubts someone is able to successfully convert it completely as there are many looping instances and as far as I know MS language cant manage this type of calculus... maybe only some senior members like Roy , Henry and a few others can challenge this very ostic argument.

My advice is to try coding some alternative MS language friend scripts from the scratch and then to see if the result is what you want, taking for granted you've understood the core of the original code posted.

just my two cents here.

Cheers

Marco

Kaushik, Your code has 7 parameters or inputs! Metastock only allows for 6 inputs. You can probably reuse 1 or 2
also your code does everything but slice bread, Metastock code cannot scan from a chart, that has to be done from the Explorer

Here are a few of the limitations in Metastock code

1: a 2000 character limit in a formula
2: a 6 input max limit
3: a 20 maximum limit on named variables {although you can reuse the same named variable after it's use is no longer needed }
4: the last value of an indicator would be the default value if you were to use that indicator in a FML() function
5: is you use inputs in your indicators and you use that indicator in a FML() or FMLvar()functions then they will use the default values from the input values
6: there is a 2000 limit in the indicator builder
