a, Is it possible to export the result of an exploration into excel?
b, is it possible to open charts from an exploration automatically?
c, is it to export the expert commentary with signals of multiple charts automatically?

Has anyone done work on automating explorations, expert commentary. Its surprising that these basic automated features are not built in to MS.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi kosmic

I don't know if items b and c are possible at all, but I do know that a can be performed as a manual operation. Copying an entire exploration report is as simple as marking one line of the report (other than the first line I believe), copying to the pasteboard with CTRL+C, then pasting into an Excel workbook with CTRL+V. A suitable Excel macro can then be used to perform whatever processing is needed

In the December 2009 issue of MSTT I published what I believe to be the first Expert Commentary that collects exploration results and uses them to construct reports for Trade Equity based system tests. There are now several explorations and expert commentaries in the Trade Equity family, and it's likely that others have copied this approach. That's not to say that any have been brought to my attention.

Send me a private message if you need more information about the process and/or Trade Equity tools.
