I want to do an explorer scan that scans stocks where monthly MACD and weekly MACD are in a positive crossover stance.

Any ideas how to scan for both time frames at same time ?

Hi trc

The problem is easily solved using the appropriate Multi-Frame MACD indicators and settings. Unfortunately these are not freebies. You can find more information on my website at www.metastocktips.co.nz, or by emailing me at rlarsen@quik.co.nz.

Be aware that to get reasonably accurate monthly MACD and signal line values you might need to load somewhere between 5 and 10 years worth of daily data. Anything less than 4 years of data is going to produce results that are somewhat suspect. This is due to the nature of the EMAs from which MACD is constructed.
