Hi folks,
I am using MLDOWNLOADER to get end-of-day data for my MetaStock. It's a one time purchase and not a recurring monthly charge. Are you aware of any other applications that can provide a free end-of-day\intra=day data for MetaStock? because recently MLDOWNLOADER has been lagging a day behind on the prices data for some stocks.
any ideas?

For End-of-day, you could try EODData dot com or TradingBlox dot com.
For intraday forex data, there are many free sources.

Do a search of the forum for some of the many, many issues with so-called "free" data, and read some of the sad stories where bad trades have been placed based on that information.
You get what you pay for. When you're making trading decisions, do you want those decisions based on flimsy, potentially error-riddled data, or quality checked, accurate data? The cost to get quality data is much less than the potential losses from making bad decisions based on bad data.
