What happened to the S&P 500 Index symbol us&SPX? It is no longer accessible in metastock or Quotecenter.

The free global symbols us&SPX and us&OEX were decommisioned on the evening of October 1, 2012.
The symbols us;OEX and us;SPX still work. These symbols are part of the MDX index exchange package available to North/South American and World Wide Futures data package subscribers.
