Hi,
Just recently started using the Elder Plugin.
Have a question, when I apply the Daily or Weekly template to any security do I have to change the Periodicity to Daily or Weekly as the case may be or, Or will the template automatically take care of that.

When you right-click & choose "Apply template", there is an option for "Use template's periodicity".
MS will remember your choice for next time.
