Brooke Gardner’s article, “Trading High-Yield Bonds Using
ETFs,” suggests a basic system is the best to use and keeps it simple for
retirees without trading software. The steps
are listed below:
To create a system test:
- Tools > the New
- Buy Order tab and enter the
following formula.
Cross( C, Mov( C, 8, S) )
- Sell Order tab and enter
the following formula.
Cross( Mov( C, 8, S), C )
- Sell Short Order tab and
enter the following formula.
Cross( Mov( C, 8, S), C )
- Buy to Cover Order tab and
enter the following formula.
Cross( C, Mov( C, 8, S) )
- OK to close the system editor.
To make the Expert Advisor:
- Tools > New to open the Expert Editor.
- Symbols tab.
- New to create a new symbol.

- Graphics tab
- Up Arrow
- Green
- Below Price
Plot”
- Below Symbol”
- OK
- New to create a new symbol.
