I have Metastock 11 and use the Downloader to convert Excel data to Metastock format but the Metastock format excludes weekends which Excel data includes. Excel data is of managed fund prices. After conversion, the Metastock data extends into future dates because the Excel managed fund data includes weekends as well. How do I get Downloader to incorporate dates for weekends as well?

Have not run into this problem -- maybe someone else has, and can comment.

However, you might bypass the conversion process by using the Excel files DIRECTLY, with the MetaStockCSV Plug-in.

I have no problems converting data using the Downloader, where that data includes weekends and holidays. The chart displays data over those periods i.e. if the data is there MS will plot it.

Maybe it has to do with following the correct procedure. I followed the procedure set out in: http://www.guppytraders.com/gup136.shtml Could you direct me to the procedure you used so that Metastock will duplicate the dates set out in the Excel data file? Thanks in anticipation.

Try the instructions in the Downloader, accessed via the F1 (Help) key.
