Dear all
I am a starter of metastock and currently try to figure out the formula for editing "the explorer"
First of all, i know how to run daily DMI if i set
the condition as
1.daily DMI cross
2.8 days moving avergae> 21 days moving average
3. closing price above 1
I just put formula in A, B, C column and filter column as "A and B and C"
A. Cross (PDI(14),MDI(14)) AND ADXR(14>10)
AND(ADX(14)>MDI(14)) OR ADX(14)>PDI(14))
B.MOV(close,8,S)>MOV(close,21,S)
C.Close >1
However i would like to change parameter of daily DI to weekly data....it knock me down, can anyone tell me how to set the fomula if i set the condition as below?
1.weekly DI cross (+DI>-DI)
2.weekly volumn > past 5 week's avg volumn
3.weekly closing price>20 weeks avg price

Hi Jessie
To change the periodicity of an exploration you must...
Select the required exploration in The Explorer window
Click the Edit button
Click the Options button
and then Click the Weekly button under Exploration Periodicity. That's it.
Note that there are two different sets of Options in the Explorer. The one I've already mentioned allows settings for individual explorations to be adjusted.
The other is found at the bottom of The Explorer window and caters for general settings that apply to all explorations. Among other things this allows you to set the number of bars to be explored by any exploration.
