OLE can paste special candlestick data from MS to Excel only?

Hi all,
I have been going through the manual and found the OLE function. I can get paste special candlestick data from Meta to Excel but not the other way around. I have tried this using new empty chart. Is there a way to do this the correct way?

When you OLE link from Excel, MetaStock treats the data as an indicator or a secondary security. Be sure to select both the data to be pasted and a column of dates so MetaStock knows where to display the data.
