I have a breakeven formula but it only works for a long trade. Does anyone have ideas to calculate a breakeven piont that will work both short and long side of a trade. The formula I have at the moment is: Breakeven piont = ((Shares * Entry price)+(Total cost)) / Share Gregor

I'm not sure how one formula would work for both longs and shorts. you have to add to the entry price for long trades and subtract from it for short trades.
