Does anyone know if there are ways to automatically update the Securities list that the Downloader uses to get data for a list of tickers ? i.e. to replicate what is done manually using the Menu options File, New, Security.
Is there an Excel file converter or an API?
Thanks for any info.

Currently, MetaStock does not have a utility or tool to do this. I am also unaware of any third party products that would do it.
I know our developers are aware of this issue. I do not know if anything in the next version will affect this but it is possible.

Would you be able to post the specification of the file layout so I could write a tool to do this ? (which I'd be happy to share with the community.)
