Hi,
Can anyone tell me if I can install MetaStock Version 11 in an external hard disc drive?
I would like to install the MetaStock application software and its data files in my personal external hard disc drive.
I do not want to have any of the MetaStock software and its data files stored in company's notebook as the notebook is company's property.

You can store downloaded security data and charts, layouts, and templates on the external drive with no difficulties. You can install the MetaStock program to the external drive but the installation will still put a couple of files in the Windows \ System32 folder and it must make some entries to the registry. The license software will also put a small hidden file on the main hard drive. There is no way to alter or avoid those settings\files being located on the hard drive
