which file or dll calculating the native ms stdev? how to edit the the native calculation?

Hi Flexi

My guess is that the StDev() function is imbedded in the MsWin.exe file. Good luck with trying to edit that. If you're unhappy with the Standard Deviation that Equis have created then why don't you construct your own custom indicator using the MetaStock Formula Language then modify that to meet your needs?
