Adaptick FIRE allows the calculation of custom indices in a single folder only. Is it possible to AUTO update multiple folders within the "Custom Indices" folder? Thanks.

Make sure the TOOLS -- AUTOMATIC UPDATE OPTIONS are checked the way you want them, then use Windows "Scheduled Tasks". After you set it up, edit the task and add "auto", like this:

C:\Adaptick\FIRE.exe auto

You can have multiple folders, one index per folder. I don't think you can combine folders, though; ie: If you wanted to create an S&P 1000, I don't think the S&P 400 and S&P 600 folders can be used for a single Custom Index. You could, however, create a new folder, copy over all the symbols from both folders, then create a single Custom Index from that.

Hope that answers your question.

FIRE only allows the entry of one file path in the custom indices "options" window, and writes all indices to that file path. I would like the option of writing multiple indices to their respective folders (all grouped within a main "custom indices" folder). The software does not appear to have this capability. I do appreciate your help Johnathan. Bruno

I'm sorry. FIRE does not allow this. All custom indexes are put in a single common folder.
