When I try to open file.mwt directly, window cannot locate the file, do I have to open the file within Metastock? Is there any approach to open file.mwt directly?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

MWT is a template file -- you right-click on an open chart, then use APPLY TEMPLATE.
MWC files are charts, and MWL is a layouts (multiple charts).

Once I find file.mwt, window cannot locate the file type, do I have to open the file within Metastock? If you try to locate the any file.mwt, and double click on it directly, then you see what I am talking about the problem. Is there any approach to open file.mwt directly?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Open a chart (*.mwc file) FIRST.
Then, right-click and choose Apply Template -- that accesses the *.mwt file.
You cannot access a *.mwt file directly.
You CAN use "File -- Save As" to save any chart or layout as a template (*.mwt).
