From an Excel spreadsheet: Columns A (Date) and B (Closing Price) for a security. We would like to copy that data to the date and closing price fields of that security file to be updated in Metastock’s Downloader program on a daily basis. I have the MetaStock drivers. How would we do this through vba code? (I just need the calls to MetaStock - I don't need to know how to iterate through the rows in the Excel spreadsheet). Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry but we do not have provisions for a VBA update like you are requesting. Data files can only be updated from a download within the downloader OR by converting the data with the downloader.

Try MetastockCSV -- there is a free version with a limited number of columns that may be all you need.

Thanks Johnathan. I was not aware of this third-party tool.
