Ok i am new at this, but have been studying allot- i have been useing the rmo trade model template- and have been fairly sucessfull with it- my big question is -

how can i add a ribbon to the template that just watches the S&P 500- -
iam sure it can be done- just wondering if someone cane send me into the right direction

Hi newguy If it was EOD data I'd say use the Security() function as the data source for your trend ribbon formula. How you define the trend is completely up to you. Then arrange a chart with your preferred template layout and "Save as Default Template" (right click in an open area of chart and select that option). I can't advise you as to the pathname or location of SPX for real time data but I'm sure someone will be able to help. I'm not aware of any reason why the Security() function might not work with real time data if the appropriate pathname is used. Obviously I've missed out a number of minor steps but if you address those one at a time I'm sure the ultimate goal is easily doable and well within your reach. Roy
