When I open MetaStock Pro it tells me it's "Connecting to Data Vendor". There are no error messages.
When I click on OPEN, I do not see the Esignal icon.
I do have Esignal and it's working properly so that is not the issue.
Please help.

When you installed metastock, you would have been prompted to select your real-time vendor. If you choose anything other than "esignal" you will need to run the install again to select the proper data vendor. you do not have to un-install, just run the install again.
(the other options would have been "dbc signal" and "no real-time data provider")
If you are not sure which vendor you selected, open metastock and go to Tools -> Options. one of the eight tabs will be labeled "eSignal" if you selected esignal during the installation. If you do not have that tab in MetaStock, then please run the install again.
If you did select signal, then start the esignal data manager first. let that program start completely. Then start metastock As metastock starts, it will lauch two utility programs (Equis Data Server and MetaStock File Server). This programs will start and then minimize to the windows system tray.
When metastock starts, you should now have the option for eSignal in the file open screen.
