Clean install MS11. After creating a new chart and drawing Fib retracement or projection lines cannot right click to change properties.

Clicking the "Select mode" or upper right hand side arrow activates change mode.

Thank you for your response. From reading the manuals I guessed that the problem might relate to the Select Mode setting. However, when I click the Select mode arrow, nothing happens. Also, I checked Tools > Options > General to make sure that Return to Select mode is checked (it is).

The problem is selective - when the mouse cursor hovers over most studies it immediately shows the 4-arrow icon. However with Fib Projections, Retracements and the Gann Line, that does not occur. Once those items are "drawn" on the chart the mouse cursor remains the single arrow.

When I click on a Fib. Ret. line that I have just drawn I get two end boxes and a
solid black line between the two. I manipulate the scale by moving either end box
with my cursor. Are you able to do that?

Hi John and thx for your persistence. To answer your question: yes and no. After more experimentation I have found that everything works as it should when viewing weekly or monthly charts. However, when in the daily chart mode, that is when the properties are not accessible. If I draw the Fib Ret lines in daily mode, they appear as they should but the end boxes and the solid black line will not appear. If I change the same chart to either weekly or monthly, leaving the Ret lines in place, then the end boxes and solid black line appear and I can manipulate the scale.

So, what's the issue with the daily mode? Have I inadvertently set something that is applicable in daily but not weekly? Changing the default template does not rectify the problem.

Drawing on weekly and then switching to daily does do strange stuff but I think it has to do with scale more than a bug. I can get it to disappear entirely from the daily but if it rescale and find the %100 line to click on then it works..

Thanks for your thoughts. For now I'm bagging this issue. If it bugs me enough-and it eventually will-I will call MS support and see what they say.
