In case you missed the Equis Webinar, Jose Silva has released a free download of his "Visual Strategy Trader" with open formula Indicators, Experts and Explorations.

Quite something, IMHO.

I'd like to see the RMO tested this way. Has anyone tried this yet?

Just as a more general question, I backtested roughly 43 of the pre-packaged MetaStock trading systems on all 100 NDX stocks from 198x through present (per data availability) and found all systems to be poor. That is, in every single case, the system was a loser for most of the NDX stocks and, for multiple stocks, big-time losers. For most systems, there were one or two stocks for which the profitability was decent. My expectation was not for every system to perform brilliantly but I thought I'd find a couple (or a few) that were solidly profitable on a majority of stocks. Such was not the case. Should my conclusion from this be that the built-in systems in MS are poor and of little use or do I need to adjust my expectation somehow? All opinions are welcomed.

I've come to a similar conclusion about all the systems I have seen included with metastock. Maybe that is why they don't include equity curves like the new VST does!
