Hello

I have all my NYSE stocks in individual directories, A-B-C-D etc.

When I want to use the Explorer is there a way to just choose the top level directory and it scans every file in the sub-directories?

I can't find a way to do this and so have to select the indvidual files from all the sub directories (I have then added them to Favourities, at least that will save some time).

Any one got any ideas?

Thanks :)

If you have the A-D folders inside of a parent folder (i.e. C:\MetaStock Data\NYSE\A), then when you click "Add Securities" in the Explorer window, you can highlight the NYSE folder, then click the drop-down arrow next to the Open button (Looks like a small upside down triangle on the open button) and choose "Open Folder Contents".

Actually, I know this is an old post but could someone tell me how to do the same but in the Favorites folder? I have subfolders there and the option "Open Folder Contents" is disabled. Thanks!

"Open Folder Contents" is greyed out when I try it.

The "open folder contents" does not work with favorites. The favorites list is formatted differently than the local data or online data lists. The code behind the open folder contents command can not read the list of shortcuts the same way it can the other data sources. Perhaps this will be addressed in a future version but for now it is not possible.
