Hi all,

Hoping you can help out with this issue of a friends desktop computer monitor going fuzzy when Metastock is started.

We have tried updating the drivers and changing the screen resolution and the following is her configuration.

This is a problem I couldn't resolve with Cody. I went into the display settings and tried various resolutions, but they were all problematic other than the highest resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Cody thinks it's not a Metstock issue, but likely a memory issue with the graphics card.

To recap: I'm running Vista Home Premium (32 bit), the Processor is an Intel (R) Premium (R) 4CPU 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz. RAM is 3071 MB.
and Metastock 10.1. The moment I open Metastock, everything goes fuzzy and I lose definition, until I shut the computer down.

I have a large Dell screen measuring 61 cms on the diagonal (which I love). Display Settings tells me the monitor is Dell W248WFP (Analog), Adaptor type: NVIDIA GeForce Fx 5200 (Microsoft Corp WDDM).

Under advanced settings I found:
Toatal Available Graphics Memory: 526 MB
Dedicated Video memory: 128 MB
System Video Memory: 0 MB
Shared System memory: 398 MB

Many thanks for any help you are able to give.

I have a similar model Dell monitor, which has issues if the plugs are not seated all the way home at the monitor and computer ends of the video-cable. Make sure to use the securing-screws just in case the kids/pets whatever move of jiggle the cable loose again.

It's not the same problem but maybe the same solution?
