Hi guys, I was looking trough some code and I noticed the "IsDefined" function. Is it something like making sure that a condition exist? I looked in the formula primer but could not find it. Anyone care to explain what it is used for? Thanks. VT

Hi VT

IsDefined() was introduced with MS version 7.0. It returns a TRUE when the enclosed expression is defined, and a FALSE when the enclosed expression returns an N/A. The IsUndefined() function returnes opposite values. Both are very limited but not totally useless. A more useful IsDefined() function, as provided with a couple of add-on packages, would give the ability to substitute a nominated value or data array for N/A, but Equis in their wisdom seem rather unwilling to allow these functions the benefit of a really useful implementation.
