You can purchase the MDK by contacting our sales department. Please visit https://www.metastock.com/Company/about/Contact.aspx for more details on how to contact Sales.

I have also tried to get the write version but it seems there is no chance to buy it any more.

Be also carefully with the answers you get from the sales guy's - because some of them tell you that the development kit works with c# and .net
But this is not really right.

Hi guys, Do you mind sharing what is the difference between the read and the write versions of the MDK? Is it possible to write custom dlls with the read version? Thanks

You can write dll's und use this dll's with read and write version.
You can also read metastock data files with the both versions.
But you can not write/update metastock data files with the read version. This means you can not generate your own securities from your own data.

The Read-Only version allows you to create DLLs and EXEs that can read data files, perform analytics etc just like the Read/Write version. They both do all the same things except the Read-Only version can't write MetaStock data files. So no creating, updating, or deleting the security data files. You can create your own files such as CSV or TXT with either version. As far as MSX and making analysis DLLs, both versions are the same.

We typically only sell the Read/Write version to large vendors. The average user can do what they want with the Read-Only verison.

Please contact our Sales department for purchase information or msdevkit@equis.com if you have any questions about the product.
